Stunning 1987 Rolex 18038 Day Date President solid 18K yellow gold 36mm wristwatch in MINT original condition.  We do not use this term of condition lightly and encourage close examination of the photos and reading of this description. We believe this to be the nicest and one of the rarest 18038s available. This is an extremely uncommon all original variant of the iconic single quick-set President in condition that is seldom, if ever, seen. 100% tight bracelet.  Extremely rare, nearly unique factory original black glossy baguette diamond dial, with rare brand and model name shown on special gold plaques and void of the usual supplementary font.  Acquired from the original owner who purchased it from San Francisco's renowned AD, Shreve & Company in 1987.  The watch was put in a safe with dozens of others and went basically unworn it's entire life. Returned to the AD about ten years ago for a routine service and then returned back to the safe. The watch comes with everything from new - Excellent condition inner and outer boxes (inner leather box is pristine), open papers, books, hang tags with corresponding serial number, leather document wallet, leather bound writing tablet, silk handkerchief, cloth, and all links. The solid 18K yellow gold case with solid gold fluted bezel and solid gold bracelet are in as close to mint condition as they come with very minor signs of handling. Original black dial with diamond baguette markers and gold hands. Excellent sapphire crystal and original signed crown. Inside, the automatic winding movement is running strong and keeping excellent time. Fitted to its original, 100% tight solid 18K yellow gold bracelet with signed fold over clasp. Case measures 36mm wide with 20mm lugs. Will fit up to a size 7" wrist as is or 7 3/4" with extra links installed. Comes with everything shown in the photos. Authenticity unconditionally guaranteed.
